A native of Vinton, Iowa, Jim Anderson earned his BA with a major in accounting from Luther College in 1974 and an MBA from the University of Iowa. Jim is a CPA and worked three years with a regional public accounting firm prior to serving twelve years as the Chief Financial Officer of a savings bank in Cedar Rapids.

Jim then entered the retirement plan and investment business in 1990 as president of Benefit Plan Administration, which later merged with SCI Tower Pension Specialists, where he continued to serve as president. Following that firm’s acquisition by Wells Fargo in 2000, he became vice president with Wells Fargo marketing retirement plans and investment products.

Jim joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in January 2004, as The Zach Group’s Investment Specialist. He has his Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses, as well as his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.

Awards and Education

Jim has qualified for the Most Valuable Producers (MVP) Conference each full year that he has been with Northwestern Mutual. This Conference annually recognizes the 300 top investment product producers with Northwestern Mutual.
